With their brass instruments of trumpet and trombone and classical music backgrounds, Dell, Susan, Richard and Kelly Hyssong capture audiences with their unique sound and Christ-centered message. The Hyssongs have been nominated many years for the top 10 Trio of the Year in the Singing News Fan Awards, winning Favorite New Trio in 2014. They have had five number one songs on the Singing News Charts over the years. This family performs at more than 225 events each year throughout the United States and Canada.
“We are excited about our partnership with ARS,” says Richard. “Their team is professional, caring, and their attention to detail is unmatched. The Hyssongs are looking forward to a long and successful relationship.”
Mark Dubbeld Family
The Mark Dubbeld Family from Moneta, Virginia are noted for their family harmony, originally penned songs and a sincere desire to communicate the Gospel through their music and testimony. This family has been making an impact in the field of Southern Gospel for several years now, garnering multiple top 40 songs and receiving nominations for a couple of years for Favorite New Artist in the Singing News Fan Awards. The group consists of Mark and Janene Dubbeld along with their children, Elena and Britton. Each of them play an active role in the ministry and strive to reach all generations with their songs.
“We are excited about our latest album, Something Better, being distributed by ARS/Big Picture Records,” states Mark Dubbeld. “Our family has worked very hard on this album. We are thankful for our producer, Barry Weeks, and the gifted writers who contributed to make this album one of our best yet. And we know it’s in great hands with the team at ARS.”
Chronicle
Tim and Missy Kinchen, a husband-and-wife team based in Denham Springs, Louisiana, comprise the musical duo known as Chronicle. Their unique musical style blends the heartfelt emotion of Southern Gospel with the sophisticated nuances of Jazz. Their live performances are enhanced by the addition of Tim on the saxophone, creating a richer, more textured listening experience.
“After some prayer regarding the direction of our ministry, we reached out to Jaquita,” shares Missy. “She has been instrumental in facilitating a new album being produced by Wayne Haun to be released this year. Jaquita, along with ARS radio promoter, Kim Pennington, have provided invaluable support so far. We are deeply appreciative of the guidance they have all given through their unwavering kindness and professionalism.”
8th Street
8th Street is a trio of guys who grew up singing together in a church on 8th Street in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. This trio consists of long-time friends Jonathan Thompson and brothers, Ivan Hughart and Byron Hughart. Since their start in 2017, sharing the message of Jesus Christ through their music has been their goal. Their first radio single, “Lovin’ Every Minute of It”, was released in the early part of 2023 and rose to the #30 spot in November that year on the Singing News chart. 8th Steet has quickly become a favorite among newer artists for DJs.
“We have really enjoyed having Jaquita involved with our last three projects and we’re excited about our relationship with ARS,” says Thompson, tenor for 8th Street. “From our first album in 2021 until now, our interactions with the entire staff have been handled with utmost care and consideration. Jaquita always responds quickly and accurately to whatever needs our music ministry requires. We are thankful for the professionalism and courtesy.”
Phillips & Banks
Phillips & Banks is a southern gospel group comprised of two married couples from the mountains of East Tennessee. Jacob and Carmen Phillips along with Caleb and Autumn Banks collectively bring a distinctive and smooth sound to their music that sets them apart. In October of 2017, the two couples forged the quartet with common backgrounds in worship leading and ministry performance arts. They strive to communicate the hope and forgiveness that can be found through a relationship with Jesus as well as encourage and spur on fellow believers to live for Him.
“Phillips and Banks are so thrilled to begin working with ARS. Our goal in joining forces is getting the message of the Gospel out through our music to as many people as possible. Kim and Jaquita have been so kind in welcoming us into the ARS family, and we couldn’t be happier to start our partnership!” says Jacob Phillips.
Jay Stone Singers
The Jay Stone Singers began in the small town of Hope Mills, NC in the fall of 1976. After several member changes, Jay Stone, the group’s founder, and his wife, Mary, kept the group going with their 14-year-old son Jeff, their 11-year-old daughter Sharona, and a few friends. Today, Sharona (Stone) Carter and her husband, Bobby, are keeping her father’s legacy alive along with their daughter, Emma (Carter) Davis. This family provides a refreshing evangelistic ministry. Their desire is to witness to the lost, encourage the hurting and motivate others to grow the Kingdom of God.
“We are thrilled to be working with the great team at ARS. We are grateful for their knowledge and experience in promoting our music,” Sharona says.
