Arrangements For Rosa Nell Speer Powell

Winchester, TN — Rosa Nell Speer Powell, age 94 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center. She was born in Double Springs, Alabama on September 21, 1922 to the late George Thomas and Lena Darling Brock Speer. Mrs. Powell was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Nashville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Powell; brothers, Brock Speer and Ben Speer; and sister, Mary Tom Reid. Mrs. Powell is survivedby sons, Wayne (Mary Jane) Powell of Murfreesboro, Tom (Lisa) Powell of Troy, Alabama, and Jim (Linda) Powell of North Hollywood, California; daughters, Joyce (Paul) Pritchett of Montgomery, Alabama, and Gina (Tom) Isbell of Winchester; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 and from 12-2 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Decherd First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Decherd First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Brian Nave officiating.

Interment will be held at 5:30 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Boaz, Alabama.
