Devastated by the damage from the December 10 tornado in Mayfield, Ky., Steven Curtis Chapman and Ricky Skaggs have organized a benefit concert on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at Heartland Church in Chapman's hometown of Paducah, Ky. Chapman and Skaggs enlisted friends, Jason Crabb, Larry Stewart and more, for the lineup. All proceeds will benefit victims of the tornado via Samaritan's Purse.

The home of Jason and Monica Matthews of Southern Gospel family group, The Wilbanks, is a total loss following a fire recent house fire. While their home is gone, no injuries were reported.
Billy Blue Records, one of today’s premier Bluegrass music labels launched by Jerry Salley under the umbrella of the venerable Daywind Music Group, dominated at the 47th Annual SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America) Bluegrass Music Awards held in Nashville on Sunday, January 30th. Bluegrass stalwarts Donna Ulisse, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Alan Bibey and Grasstowne, and Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers pulled down key awards.
