NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 14, 2022) – One of Southern Gospel’s top artists, The Guardians Quartet, has embarked on a brand-new recording and catalog distribution relationship with Nashville-based Daywind Records. The debut Daywind album from The Guardians Quartet is expected to release in the summer of 2022. Multiple Dove Award and Singing News Fan Award nominees, The Guardians Quartet is comprised of industry veterans and fan favorites Dean Hickman, John Darin Rowsey, Pat Barker, and Scott Mullins.  With five #1 songs on the Singing News Top 80 national radio chart off its last two albums and appearances at major events across the country, The Guardians Quartet is one of the best quartets in Southern Gospel music, wowing audiences at every appearance by passionately sharing the Gospel through a joyous experience of word and song while living out John the Baptist’s words, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).  Daywind’s Director of Artist and Repertoire, Dusty Wells, commented, “We are absolutely thrilled about our new partnership with The Guardians Quartet. Dean, John Darin, Pat, and Scott are a perfect fit for our label family.  They are exceptionally talented artists with a ministry-first attitude. I have been a fan for years and cannot wait for our Daywind team to work closely alongside of them and share this new recording with the world.”  The new album is in the works and will be produced by John Darin Rowsey and Wayne Haun, two of the top producers in Southern Gospel music, and features songs by some of Southern Gospel’s greatest songwriters, including Rowsey who is a longtime Daywind songwriter.
