Pinehurst, NC (October 15, 2018) — Stephanie Pryor Ellington, 47, passed away Monday morning, October 15, 2018 at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Stephanie was the mother of Cooper Ellington, who went home to be with the Lord in July. Cooper and his mother shared a genetic condition called Von Hippel Lindau (VHL) Syndrome. Shortly after Cooper’s passing, it was discovered that Stephanie’s tumors had increased in size causing mobility and vision issues. During Cooper’s ministry, Stephanie sat at the front of the services supporting her son and husband, Reid. On rare occasions, she would even join them on stage. The Ellington Family made many friends with artists and fans alike. They were an inspiration to everyone who met them and heard their story. Stephanie leaves behind her husband Reid, her parents, her siblings and many friends.

The service for Stephanie will be Friday October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Visitation with the family will take place after the service. Finger foods and refreshments will available.

In lieu of flowers, a special account has been set up at the North Carolina State Employees Credit Union to help with funeral and other expenses. Anyone interested in contributing can do so by visiting any branch office and asking that the gift be placed in the special account for William Reid Ellington. A link on Cooper’s website will also be made available soon in order for individuals to contribute to this account online.

Please remember the family in your prayers in the coming days.
