Paul’s Journey Announces New Tenor Staff November 13, 2017 Magnolia, TX — After more than six months of searching, going through applications, interviewing, and auditioning people we have finally chosen our new tenor singer and he just happens to be from Texas! His name is Ron Higgins. Ron has been singing gospel music for 29 years now . He’s sung professionally with the original Pacesetters Quartet out of Burleson, Texas, and Praise Incorporated Quartet, and for the last several years he again sang with the Pacesetters Quartet, reviving and owning the group after its retirement of their 22-year ministry. Ron has had the opportunity and honor of singing onstage with many of gospel music’s greatest singers including The Statesmen Quartet, J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet, The Gaither Vocal Band, The Talley Trio, and Gordon Mote just to name a few. Ron was voted favorite male vocalist in the state of Texas at the Texas Gospel Music News Fan Awards and he plays several instruments including the piano, sax, and mandolin. He is also a licensed and ordained minister with the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. Rod Treme, owner of the group says, “I’ve known Ron for several years and I am so happy that he will be a part of our ministry team! He’s a very good tenor singer, he is musically talented and educated and to top it all off he is a very good Christian man with a minister’s heart. These are the reasons that Ron Higgins is our new tenor singer.” Ron says, “I have known and worked with Rod and the guys on many occasions over the last 13 years. To say that I have a great admiration and respect for this ministry would be an understatement. I feel beyond blessed to be a part of this ministry, and look forward to what the Lord has in store for the future.” Date: Nov. 13, 2017 Source: Paul’s Journey Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
