Knoxville, TN – It is with great sadness we announce that Ted Lowe Jr, owner of gospel radio station WKXV (100.7 FM & 900 AM) in Knoxville, Tennessee, has passed away. Ted Lowe Jr received his Heavenly reward on October 24, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. Ted was a great ambassador for gospel music as he was the owner of WKXV radio, one of the longest running Southern Gospel radio stations in the nation. Ted not only spent his life dedicated to gospel radio, but was also an expert guitarist. Ted played guitar many years in the Southern Gospel group, Cedar Ridge.

Please keep Ted’s wife Cathy, daughter Lana, and family in your prayers during this difficult time. Ted’s celebration of life service will be at My Fathers House in Lenoir City, Tennessee on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
