Marvin Humphries Passes Away

Red Bay, AL (Jan 26, 2018) Marvin Humphries, father of Dennis Humphries of HisSong passed away Thursday morning Jan. 25, 2018 at his residence in Red Bay, Alabama.

Many have met Marvin Humphries and his wife Helen at HisSong concerts, NQC, and other venues across the country. They have traveled many miles in their motor home supporting many Gospel music concerts.

Marvin was a Southern Gospel radio DJ for many years. He was also a partner in Triple H Electronics , a successful business based in Red Bay, Alabama.

Survivors imclude his wife Helen Humphries, sons Dennis Humphries of Nashville, Tennessee and David Humphries of Red Bay, Alabama, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three brothers, and three sisters.

He is preceded in death by a son Dannie Humphries and parents Vess and Dora Bell Humphries.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 27, 2017 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A homegoing service will take place Saturday, Jan. 27, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Church Of God, 901 4th Ave SE in Red Bay, Alabama.

Per Marvin Humphries request, HisSong will be singing during the service. The service will be streamed using Facebook live on the HisSong Music friends page.
