Hubert Cooke Passes Away [UPDATED]

Church Hill, TN (March 13, 2018) — Singing News has learned of the passing of Hubert Cooke of The Singing Cookes.  At the request of Mr. Cooke, there will be only a graveside service for the family tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14, 2018,in Norton, Virginia. Mr. Cooke will be buried alongside his parents and siblings in a family cemetery. Please keep the Cooke family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.

The Singing Cookes have been ministering and sharing the Gospel in song since 1962, when Hubert and Jeanette began with two guitars and a leap of faith. In the beginning they were known as the Cooke Duet. All three sons (James, Ronny, and Donny) joined in various capacities in the teenage years adn the group name was changed to The Singing Cookes.
