Gospel Music Hymn Sing to Hold Benefit Concert to Help Seniors Staff October 8, 2019 Nashville, TN (Oct. 8, 2019) — What began as a simple sing-along at a concert in Shipshewana, Indiana, has grown into a successful tour and video series known as Gerald Wolfe’s Gospel Music Hymn Sing. On Monday, October 28, 2019, the tour will make a stop in Nashville to perform a special benefit concert in support of Veranda Ministries. Veranda Ministries is a nonprofit organization located in the Nashville suburb of Gallatin, Tennessee, that provides a variety of services in support of senior citizens, particularly those struggling with dementia or Alzheimer’s, and their caregivers. The ministry has a number of friends in the Southern Gospel world, and many will come together Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. CT for an evening of joyful worship as they lead the audience in favorite hymns. The concert lineup includes Greater Vision, The Mark Trammell Quartet, The Whisnants, Jim & Melissa Brady, The Mylon Hayes Family, Tribute Quartet, The Talleys, and the Hymn Sing Band. In a Facebook post, Gerald wrote, “Anybody who has had a family member or friend struggling with Alzheimer’s or Dementia knows what kind of emotional and physical strain it puts on the caregivers. That’s why we’re doing a Gospel Music Hymn Sing event on October 28th in Nashville… To benefit The Veranda, a respite care ministry for families affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia. 100% of the event’s proceeds will benefit this great ministry in the Nashville area. We hope you’ll join us, or at least let your friends and family in the Nashville area know about it. It’s going to be a great, inspiring, encouraging evening!” For more information, click HERE.
