Ernie Dawson of Heirline Passes Away

Singing News has learned that Ernie Dawson of Heirline has passed away. Mr. Dawson had faced multiple significant health challenges in recent years. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and sons Eric and Landon.

In addition to serving as lead vocalist and manager of Heirline, Mr. Dawson was an accomplished songwriter, penning many songs performed by not only his group, but other Gospel artists as well. Please keep the Dawson family in your prayers.

Graveside services for Ernie Dawson will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, Alabama. The funeral procession will begin at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home (Whitwell, Tennessee) at 12:15 p.m. The funeral home is located at 795 Morrison Spring Road in Whitwell.

Due to COVID and social distancing guidelines that are in place, the family intends to schedule a memorial service at a later date. The family appreciates your continued prayers.
