Easter and Smith Families Welcome a Baby Girl

Augusta, GA (Sept. 8, 2019) — Landan Smith and Morgan (Easter) Smith have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Ryman Pauline Smith.

In a posted statement on Sunday, Sept. 8, Morgan wrote, “Meet our beautiful baby girl Ryman! She’s absolutely perfect and we are completely over the moon. She was born Friday, September 6, at 5:54 p.m. She weighed 7lbs, 13oz and was 21 1/2 in. long. We had a rough labor & delivery and after some time in the NICU we are thrilled to announce Ryman is no longer in the NICU and we are both supposed to be able to go home soon! The delivery was really tough on both of us, but we serve a big God and he has blessed us so much. Thank you for all of your kind words and prayers. Words cannot truly express how happy we are right now!”

Landan and Morgan both perform with Jeff & Sheri Easter. Morgan, the second of Jeff and Sheri’s three children, has sung with the group since she was 14. Landan first played drums for the Easters when he was only 9 years old, and he began playing for them full-time at age 14. Landan and Morgan grew up as best friends and never considered a romantic relationship until Landan took a year-long break from touring and they both realized that they wanted more. They were married Oct. 25, 2017, at the Lewis Family homeplace.
