Carrollton, GA (April 2, 2019) — The Diplomats have added a new bass singer to their lineup following the recent departure of Alex Utech from the group. They released the following statement today to announce the news:

When The Diplomats returned to their roots a year ago and returned to an all-male quartet, we knew it would be a major undertaking. After four years with The Diplomats, our bass singer came off the road a few months ago. We have been very careful to take our time and find just the right man.

When one of the greatest bass singers of all time, Tim Riley, came off the road, he handpicked the one man who could step into that position. When Brian Free needed a bass singer to give them that classic quartet sound, he looked no further than one gentleman.

We are thrilled to announce that after 13 years away from the road, Bill Lawrence is the newest member of The Diplomats Quartet. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in the coming years. To see Corey, Jimmy, Harold, Jordan, Drew, and our newest member, Bill Lawrence, go to www.diplomatsqt.com for upcoming dates.
