Dennis Erwin Honored For Ministry Service

Edgewood, TX — Dennis Erwin was honored with the Dr. Roy Fish Lifetime Achievement Award in Evangelism recently during the Southern Baptist of Texas Evangelism Conference in Los Colinas, Texas, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.

The award is presented to a Southern Baptist Evangelist at the State Evangelism Conference every year. Dr. Fish was a beloved and greatly respected professor of Evangelism at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (the world’s largest seminary).

Mr. Erwin has taught thousands of students, pastors, and missionaries on the importance of winning souls to Christ. This is the highest honor that can be given to any evangelist. Dennis was recognized for having served as a full-time evangelist for 43 years, serving in over 1,500 revival meetings across the nation. “It is such an honor to be among my fellow evangelists who have received this award over the years. Dr. Fish is a hero and mentor to all Bible-believing Southern Baptist.   I am deeply humbled and thankful to God for the honor of receiving this award. The desire of my heart is to finish out the rest of my service as an evangelist in a manner that is worthy of Dr. Fish and most importantly, of our Lord Jesus,” stated Dennis.
