The Singing News magazine announced its 2021 Singing News Fan Awards winners at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN, with Daywind Music Group founder, Dottie Leonard Miller, and Daywind recording artist, Kim Hopper, receiving awards.
The Singing News Fan Awards are voted on by Southern Gospel music fans. The winners were announced during a special ceremony during the industry’s largest event, the National Quartet Convention, on Friday, October 1, 2021, in Pigeon Forge, TN.
DMG founder Dottie Leonard Miller was honored with the coveted Dottie Rambo Legacy Award. For nearly 40 years, Miller has impacted the Southern Gospel community through her work with Daywind Records, Daywind Music Publishing, Daywind Studios, Daywind Soundtracks, and New Day Christian Distributors. A 2020 inductee into the SGMA Southern Gospel Hall of Fame and a 2019 inductee into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Dottie has supported through investment and the work of her companies artists and songwriters such as Greater Vision, the Hoppers, Karen Peck & New River, Brian Free & Assurance, the Crabb Family, Joseph Habedank, Mark Lowry, and many more, as well as equipping every singer to sing Southern Gospel’s top hits through Daywind Soundtracks and every retailer to sell the best in Southern Gospel music through New Day Christian Distributors.
