Danny posted the following statement on Facebook:

For everything there is a season and with that comes change. We are sad to announce that Allen Hunter (alias George Bush), baritone and MC for The Harvesters for the past 30 years, is retiring. Allen’s contributions to The Harvesters are innumerable because of his charisma, his outstanding lead/baritone voice, his love for people, his stage presence and most importantly, his sharing the love of God.

Allen and I have enjoyed singing and traveling together for over 30 years. We are like brothers and have shared many great times together both on the stage and off the stage. He plans to travel with The Harvesters on occasion and maybe even sing a few songs. Allen states, “I will always be a Harvester and a part of The Harvesters family,” and that is very true. We wish for Allen the best retirement possible. Allen, we love you brother and will surely miss you. March 15 & 16th at The Parker Homecoming 2019 in Sanford, NC will officially be his final concert date with The Harvesters.

Sincerely,
Danny Parker
