11th Hour’s “Yes and Amen” is an Anthem on the Fulfillment of God’s Promises Jill Carothers April 29, 2026 The title track of their last full-length collection, “That’s Who He Is,”is just rising into the Southern Gospel charts’ top 20, but Sonlite Records’ 11th Hourare already bringing their second post-album single to eager fans since the beginning of the year. Written and sung by the trio’s Victoria Bowlin, “Yes and Amen” is a ringing anthem of confidence that shines a spotlight on the fulfillment of God’s promises. “A few years ago,” recalls Bowlin, “when my husband and I were praying about something that seemed to be taking forever to get an answer for, I was frustrated one day and asked him why he wasn’t upset. He said, ‘We have a promise, so I consider it done.’ That was an eye opener for me, which led to the writing of this song.” With its brisk downbeat-heavy opening, syncopated backing, choral-flavored harmonies and call-and-response chorus, “Yes and Amen” leans forward musically to complement the faith-driven optimism of Bowlin’s lyric: His promises are yes and amen If He’s done it once, He’ll do it again I know that I can count on my friend To work in ways I don’t understand He’s working all things out for my good Better than I ever dreamed that He would If He said it, then He’ll do it ‘Cause His promises are yes and amen “It’s just a simple reminder,” Bowlin affirms, “that when God speaks and makes you a promise, it’s as good as done because His promises are Yes and Amen!” “Yes and Amen” is streaming in Dolby Atmos spatial audio on Apple Music, Amazon Music and TIDAL.
