Artists and songwriters who call Daywind Music Group (DMG) home were honored with sixty-seven (67) nominations for the 20th Annual Absolutely Gospel Music Awards.
On February 11, the Fisk Jubilee Singers and The Erwins – both 2021 GRAMMY nominees for Best Roots Gospel Album – joined for an evening of music and friendship at Jubilee Hall on the historic Fisk University campus in Nashville.
Fisk Jubilee Singers director, Dr Paul Kwami, sat down with Singing News to discuss the rich 150-year history of the group and their GRAMMY Nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album.
Preheat oven to 375°. In a mixing bowl sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add shortening to the flour mixture, and “cut” into pea-sized balls, using knife or fork. Add buttermilk, and work dough into a ball. Use more buttermilk if needed to make dough slightly “sticky.”
