Villa Rica, GA (January 21, 2019) — Edna Wright, president of the Southern Gospel Promoters Association, announced on Jan. 21 that her husband, Pastor James Wright, passed away following a long battle with cancer. James Wright was the pastor of Redemption Christian Center and chaplain for the Southern Gospel Promoters Association.

Shortly after her husband went to be with the Lord, Edna posted this to Facebook: “My precious Honey, James Wright, passed away just moments ago. He has won the battle and his struggling has ended. Sweet Victory In Jesus!!! Please continue to keep our family in your prayers for the days ahead.”

Let’s remember Edna and the Wright family in prayer during this difficult time.
