Kristen Leigh Bearfields’ New Single, “Country Faith” To Support Hurricane Helene Relief

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — To help provide relief following the devastation of Hurricane Helene in the Appalachian Mountains of her home state of North Carolina, Kristen Leigh Bearfield will release her new single, “Country Faith,” featuring Karen Peck, on Friday, October 11th. For each digital stream, efforts of a matching dollar donation will be made possible by generous anonymous contributions, which will go directly to volunteer relief efforts in her home area.

Kristen states, “When you write a song, you never know where it will end up or how it will be used. When I wrote this song with Bob Minner and Bill Whyte earlier this year, we never imagined it would be scheduled to be released during such a devastating time for my home area in Western North Carolina. So, we’re giving this song back to the people of the Appalachian Mountains.”

For the first week after October 11th, through generous anonymous donations, an effort will be made to match every stream or listen on all digital platforms with a dollar contribution. This amount will be given directly to volunteer relief efforts in the Appalachian Mountains to immediately assist those who have been so terribly affected.

“This song is about growing up in the country and holding on to our faith, digging deep when times get tough,” continues Bearfield. “As you listen, I hope it reminds the people of the mountains to stay Appalachian Strong, by God’s daily grace. My heart and prayers are with everyone there, and I hope this gift of music can be a small glimmer of light amid so much darkness and devastation.”

The single features Karen Peck on harmony vocals and an all-star cast of Bluegrass musicians: Stephen Mougin, Rob Ickes, Andy Leftwich, Russ Carson, and Byron House. “Country Faith” is available on Friday, October 11th, on all digital platforms and for radio DJs on Airplay Direct.

“Country Faith” has also been written to serve as the theme song for an upcoming show on Singing News TV titled “Faith, Country & Bluegrass.” The show will record a pilot season later this year, with a release schedule to be announced.
