Faith-Based Feature Film Second Chance Announces Upcoming Shoot Dates in Kentucky and Arkansas

Danville, KY / Fort Smith, AR — Production is officially underway for the faith-based feature film Second Chance, a powerful and redemptive story centered on failure, healing, and restoration. Filming will take place May 22–29 across Danville and Fort Smith. Second Chance follows the emotional journey of a pastor whose life unravels after a moral failure sends him into personal and spiritual freefall. As he hits rock bottom, audiences are taken along on an honest and hope-filled journey as his family works to rebuild what was broken. The film boldly addresses the realities of mental health, the life-changing mission of Celebrate Recovery, and the transformational power of grace—proving that no failure is final. The film stars Dean Cain, best known worldwide for his portrayal of Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Cain’s career spans decades in film and television, with notable roles in God’s Not Dead, Out of Time, The Case for Christ, and numerous faith- and family-centered projects that have resonated with audiences across generations. Also starring is Southern Gospel favorite Kim Hopper of The Hoppers, along with Dale and Robbie Maxwell of New Ground. Their involvement brings authenticity and heart to the project, both on screen and through the film’s music. Beyond her acting role, Kim Hopper also contributes to the film’s soundtrack. With multiple Dove Award nominations, decades of touring experience, and a legacy as one of Southern Gospel music’s most respected voices, Hopper’s music adds emotional depth and spiritual weight to the story.
