Bruce Penland Passes Away

Candler, NC (Dec. 11, 2017) – Singing News has learned that Bruce Penland went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was 63.

A In his younger years Bruce played upright bass with The Primitive Quartet. After his tenure with The Primitive Quartet he was in sales most of his life, which included insurance, Petroleum Equipment Business and Commercial Real Estate.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina with Pastor Allen Rash and Rev. Larry Madden officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka, North Carolina.

There will be a receiving from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
