One of Gospel music's biggest friends passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014. James T. Sheets loved Gospel music as much as anyone, and he was a fixture at the National Quartet Convention. You'd find him arriving early and staying late as he built exhibits, parked busses, and led the security detail.
Much of the music you hear in the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, came from Jim's extensive collection of Southern Gospel music. He worked tirelessly to provide historically accurate music for the Hall of Fame exhibits.
Jim recently celebrated his 80th birthday. What was his party? A Gospel singing, of course!
Please keep the Sheets family in your thoughts and prayers in their time of loss.
Arrangements will be shared when they are received.
